The Challenge
Da Biuso, an avant-garde restaurant-on-a-bus dining concept, needed to effectively communicate its unique offerings, including its ability to change locations and revolutionise Brisbane’s fine dining scene. Our challenge was to complement their social media and public relations efforts with a strategic EDM approach to engage with their loyal following accrued throughout launch.
The Approach
We Are Brooklyn tailored an EDM strategy aligning with Da Biuso’s goal of driving in-restaurant bookings during the launch phase and beyond. Our EDM design nurtured early adopters, providing updates on launch timelines, and VIP pre-booking opportunities. This approach acted as a rewards system, enhancing the customer journey. We enriched the EDMs with fresh imagery from bespoke photoshoots, maintaining a sophisticated and classy tone-of-voice, while ensuring every message was easily digestible. Our EDMs effectively reached their intended targets, driving click-throughs to the desired website destination pages.
Each EDM cost less than a dollar per click, performing competitively against the industry averages.
Open rates consistently exceeded industry standards, ranging from 45 – 55%.
Click-through rates outperformed industry averages, ranging from 4.5% - 12%.
The Impact
Da Biuso was not your ordinary fine dining experience. Breaking free from the traditional brick-and-mortar setups, Da Biuso was Brisbane’s very first fine dining experience on wheels! Opening in 2023, Da Biuso was a true family affair spearheaded by Biagio (the husband and head chef), Sarah (his wife, the maitre`d, and sommelier) and Joseph (their son & chef). At Da Biuso, family is the heart of the experience. With their personal touch at every service, they created unforgettable memories for their guests during lunch and dinner sittings, but also cater for exclusive special occasions.
