Media Launch Event
The Challenge
With heavy market saturation in Noosa’s prime Hasting’s precinct, Accor approached us to assist in the launch of its new restaurant located at Peppers Noosa, Park & Cove. The goal was to increase market share on the Sunshine Coast and beyond, building positive brand affinity as the ‘must visit’ destination for a premium, innovative and contemporary dining experience. Park & Cove’s primary hook and USP was its provenance – its unwavering ethos of supporting local. An in-person event was the most effective way of proving this point, and deepening the connection between the narrative we weaved and the media.
Key performance indicators for the initiative included:
Securing general, food, lifestyle and news coverage
Achieving social media coverage from guests
Securing positive guest feedback
Growing ongoing and strong relationships with the media in attendance
The Approach
From extending personal media invitations to media to our attendance on the day, We Are Brooklyn nurtured the entirety of the media liaison of the launch event. Our team assisted in the design of event collateral, curated the guest list, managed RSVPs, organised stays and logistics of visits, and ensured the event ran smoothly in collaboration with the F&B team on the day. Every journalist invited was provided instructions and encouragement to maximise attendance, and post-event, a press office was engaged to further nurture relationships and secure on-going coverage.
Rathen than cold-pitching to journalists telling them why they should care about Park & Cove, we showed them first-hand the difference, the quality, and the delivery on the promise of a locally invested venue. To prove the USPs in an immersive experience, we not only invited media, but extended invites to Park & Cove’s suppliers and local network, with representatives from brands on the food menu and the beverage list, to the artisans behind the ceramics and décor. Mingling with the media guests, the ethos of Park & Cove ignited the air with conversation, strengthening the launch messaging.
Our team achieved the presence of 3 key media on the night, including Australian Good Food Guide, Delicious Magazine, and The Weekend Edition.
With a share-style banquet giving guests a taste of the entire menu and many speeches on the night, positive feedback was received from each guest.
The night saw a wonderful mix of suppliers, restaurant staff, influencers, Accor representatives, agency team members and media guests all mingling to celebrate the opening of the reimagined restaurant.
The event, combined with the press office, achieved an earned media reach of 6.4 million, and a social media reach of 291K, with journalists from invited publications continuing to publish Park & Cove’s years post-launch.
